After an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will meet your professional mountain guide and drive approximately two hours to Machame Gate (1,800 m), where registration and park formalities are completed. Once all permits have been processed, your adventure begins.
The trail winds through the lush montane rainforest, where towering trees, giant ferns, colorful birds, and playful blue monkeys create a beautiful tropical atmosphere. The trail gradually ascends before reaching Machame Camp (3,000 m), where your mountain crew will have your tents ready and a hot meal prepared.

After breakfast, continue climbing as the rainforest gives way to heath and moorland vegetation. The trail becomes steeper, offering spectacular views of Kibo Peak and, on clear days, Mount Meru in the distance.
Today’s trek rewards you with breathtaking landscapes, volcanic rock formations, and panoramic mountain scenery before arriving at Shira Camp (3,840 m), located on the beautiful Shira Plateau.
Spend the evening relaxing while enjoying magnificent sunset views over the mountain.

This is one of the most important acclimatization days on the climb.
After breakfast, trek steadily towards Lava Tower (4,630 m), where you will stop for lunch while allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude. From Lava Tower, descend gradually to Barranco Camp (3,960 m).
The famous “climb high, sleep low” strategy used today greatly improves acclimatization and increases your chances of reaching the summit successfully.
Barranco Camp is considered one of the most beautiful camps on Kilimanjaro, surrounded by giant Senecio plants and offering magnificent views of the towering Barranco Wall.

Today’s adventure begins with climbing the famous Barranco Wall, one of the highlights of the Machame Route. Although it looks intimidating, it is a non-technical scramble and is safely guided by experienced mountain guides.
After reaching the top, enjoy spectacular views as you traverse valleys and alpine ridges before arriving at Karanga Camp (4,035 m).
The afternoon is spent relaxing and preparing for higher altitudes.

Following breakfast, continue your gradual ascent to Barafu Camp (4,640 m), the final base camp before the summit attempt.
The landscape becomes increasingly barren as you enter the alpine desert. Upon arrival, enjoy an early hot lunch, followed by dinner and a detailed summit briefing from your guide.
You are encouraged to rest and sleep early because the summit ascent begins shortly after midnight.

Your summit attempt begins around midnight.
Using headlamps, you will slowly ascend through the darkness toward Stella Point (5,756 m), arriving just before sunrise. From there, continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa.
Standing on the Roof of Africa is an unforgettable achievement and one of the world’s greatest trekking experiences.
After taking photographs and celebrating your success, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and refreshments before continuing down to Mweka Camp (3,100 m), where a well-deserved hot meal and overnight rest await.

After breakfast, enjoy your final descent through the beautiful rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640 m).
Upon arrival, receive your official Mount Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate and celebrate your incredible achievement with your mountain crew before saying your farewells.
Your driver will then transfer you back to Arusha, where your unforgettable Mount Kilimanjaro adventure comes to an end.
